Walnut Adjustable Standing Desk

This commission piece is an adjustable standing desk with a walnut and black epoxy top. The base has dual electric motors that allows the desk to be used as a standing desk or as a more traditional sit-down desk. Occasionally the wood in a project comes with an interesting provenance. In this case, the walnut was milled from a fallen branch from a tree that stands on a family farm in upstate New York. The first picture, taken at the turn of the previous century, shows the branch on the lower right of the tree in the immediate background. The second picture shows the same tree and branch circa 2018. Subsequent pictures show the walnut in its current state.
